sample cutting + sample display STILL inaccurate (9)

its all ok as long as i use alt-l to cut from the beginning, but if i cut from the beginning, i'll first notice 1) that the sample hasnt been displayed correctly at all 2) that when i look at sample display and press a note on a drumloop, the snares sound before the display bar has passed a snare 3) that cutting does not update the sample display window correctly.

it appears cutting is accurate in mono samples but not in stereo.
if i cut a sample from the end and from the beginning, and start cutting more of the sample from the beginning (to line up), more of the "already cut" sample starts displaying itself from the right. its quite weird.

another fun thing is if you have a sample that loops nicely (or seminicely), and press alt-g, the sample that looped nicely, suddenly, in the middle of the sample display window, has a click. here's a file. just press alt-g on it and notice how in the middle of the sample display window progress location bar, there is an additional click or a bad loop. that makes no sense.

heres a stereo sample that i cut up to put into schism and noticed that the snares do not line up in any way. so i guess the original sample display window is somehow read in the wrong way and thus it shouldnt be used to cut anything as its not accurate, however, the sample display window should be accurate and should be usable for cutting samples beginnings and ends without wondering whats gonna get cut.

heres the same sample reversed. if you play this at C4 and pay very close attention to the sample display window you'll notice that you are hearing reversed hihats when the sample display itself is showing empty wavefile. how much more obvious can this sample display inaccuracy be made before it can be narrowed down and pinpointed as to the actual problem inherent in it?
this is one of the last bugs really in schism that i keep bumping into (apart from that keyjazz F7 playback "too many notes" crash, but i'll get to that when i can actually recreate the bug)..
